Important Opening of School Information from Transportation

·        Students who are enrolled in I-SS by August 9th, have registered for transportation services, and are eligible for transportation, should have a stop for the first day of school, Monday, August 23rd.  (Registered means the student transportation request has been entered in PowerSchool)

·        Student who have moved, had their new address recorded in PowerSchool between August 9th and August 24th, and are eligible for transportation should have their stop in place for the afternoon bus ride Tuesday, August 31st.   This includes new students enrolled within these dates.  Priority is given to eligible students requesting service to and from home to school; it may take several weeks to process alternate stops/daycare stops request at the beginning of the school year.

·        Students who have moved, had their new address recorded in PowerSchool between August 25th and August 31st, and are eligible for transportation should have their stop in place for the afternoon bus ride Tuesday, September 7th.  This includes new students enrolled within these dates.  Priority is given to eligible students requesting service to and from home to school; it may take several weeks to process alternate stops/daycare stops request at the beginning of the school year.

·        Students who have moved, had their new address recorded in PowerSchool on September 1st or later, and are eligible for transportation will have their bus stop set and in place for the afternoon bus ride the following Tuesday of each week.  This includes new students enrolled within these dates.  Priority is given to eligible students requesting service to and from home to school; it may take several weeks to process alternate stops/daycare stops request.

In addition to the $50.00 technology usage fee, students will need the following supplies in order to get off to an awesome start this year:

  • Calculator- TI84 graphing calculator highly recommended for Math 1 and 8th grade students.
  • Colored Pencils- Pack of Colored Pre-Sharpened
  • Composition Notebooks (4)
  • Cover for 11 inch MacBook Air Laptop is recommended
  • Ear Buds/Headphones
  • Expo Markers (Assorted colors)
  • Folders- (4) two-pocket, one for each class (different colors)
  • Glue Sticks
  • Graph Paper – 7th and 8th grade students
  • Highlighters
  • Paper – Notebook paper (loose leaf)
  • Pencils- Pack of Pre-sharpened
  • Student scissors
  • Personal disinfectant wipes (Highly recommended)
  • Sanitizer (Highly recommended)

Classroom Donations (suggestions):

  • 2 Box of Kleenex
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Disinfectant Wipes
  • One Ream of Paper

Woodland Heights Middle does not have lockers. Students will need to have a backpack to carry their school issued MacBook and supplies. The backpack must have a protective slot inside or a purchased sleeve for the MacBook.
